The Collections

Jim cut his photographic teeth in the Dales and its still one of his favourite locations to shoot. Over the years he has amassed a collection of stunning photographs – from wide panoramas to more detailed water images – capturing the tranquil beauty on offer in the Yorkshire Dales.

In stark contrast to Jim's wide landscapes, he also likes to focus in on even the smallest of natural objects. His aim is to photograph the tiniest of detail, be it fauna or flora, that most of us would never even notice.

There is something to be said about the simplicity of black and white photography and the way in which it can capture the mood of the moment. Raw, gritty and powerful, sometimes there is absolutely no need for colour at all.
